ITS HAPPENING
I have, for some reason, committed and agreed to a years-long trajectory of PhD study that, in the end, just adds some more paperwork that somehow proves my legitimacy.
I’ve decided it’s best to give these incessant half-baked thoughts a place to land. This blog is where they land.
This is a little nest of conversations and considerations and communication for those with any and all interest, for whatever reason, about how it is I spend my day in my brain and in the world, respectively.
Brains are muscles that need practice, just like my (or anyone/eveyones) legs, which I don’t use as much as I should, or that six-pack we may or may not ever see.
Olympians practice a lot. They sacrifice other things in an effort to be better at the thing they’ve decided is worth the sacrifice.
My brain needs an Olympics to train for. This PhD will work.
Blogging is brain training.
I’ve just convinced myself of this increasingly true truth last week.
Blogging is working out the confetti in my head until it somehow coalesces into an intentional, enjoyable, life-giving contribution to this whole existing thing we all seem to be doing.
Happy blog day! **confetti toss**
